Hello There!
My name is Nickolouise!
(You can also call me Nix!)
I'm a passionate Artist born in the phillipines that loves the art of storytelling alongside building concepts and characters.
I'm skilled with ToonBoom Harmony for 2D animation, and have been learning Clip studio Ex recently for animation! I also have good knowledge and experience using some 3D softwares like 3DCOAT and AutoDesk MAYA, and basic knowledge and experience of editing softwares such as Davinci Resolve and Adobe After- effects!
My journey as an artist and aspiring animator started of from when I only use MSpaint and a mouse alongside a GIF maker at the age of 6 years old. I grew up watching quite a lot of cartoons and a few anime until it shaped my inspirations and what I like doing today!

BEHIND THE SCENES
Corvus Ex Machina is a passionate capstone project that involves our team explore and study an inspiring 3D animated series : "Arcane" by the studio Fortiche. It is also a project where we attempt to explore and execute a dark fragmented story through the art of character acting and visual storytelling; and building a world in a post-post-apocalypse where decayed giant mechs are reused to make a city for humanity to live on.

FURTHER PLANS
Me and my team admittedly have overscoped our capstone as it's genuinely too big to just fit in a single year capstone project. Though we plan to make this project reach further and make it a fully fletched short film as a passion project. We plan to enhance it's storytelling, characters alongside it's animation and hopefully would reach a much more satisfying outcome without any tight limitations :).It will come soon in the further future!

Year 2 | Animated Documentary
PROGRAMS USED :
Clipstudio Paint | ToonBoom Harmony | Autodesk MAYA | Capcut

"Destined" is a short animated documentary featuring my mother who I interviewed for this assignment. The short tells her story about her high-school experience in the Philippines with her friend of how she predicted the boy she'll marry in the future despite her lack of interactions with him. This silly prediction led to her friend finding it hilarious and doubting her, and it's something she has find hilarious in the long run.
The short itself is 2D, but I also learned of making a 2d rotoscope environment with a 3D environment model.
